I have long held the idea that the power of the mind has great affect on the body.  Over the past 25 years I have studied and been exposed to various techniques and philosophies in my search for power of the mind over behavior.  However, in my opinion, none of them seemed to make a long lasting difference in one’s emotional or physical well being. The emotional challenges and issues I observed were not being dealt with at the root level.

In 2014 I observed a close friend aided successfully through hypnotherapy sessions with W. Dennis Parker, CHT.  My friends skills and talents were excellent, but after sessions with Dennis,  he was able to be even more productive and goal oriented. Whereas before he had felt “stuck,” he now feels freer to move forward as if unburdened. I was intrigued by his results and so I scheduled a session with Dennis to see what he did that was so effective. Dennis explained to me that hypnosis/hypnotherapy is an effective tool to make positive and lasting changes in our behavior by instructing the subconscious to work in partner with the conscious level of our mind.

After just one session, I felt different and noticed changes in my own emotions and behaviors.  I was hooked!  I knew this was the method for achieving timely, real and lasting results and I wanted to be involved in the process personally and professionally.

I am certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by The American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (A.C.H.E.), which requires over 300 hours of classroom, personal study, and hands on practical training in trance management and clinical hypnotherapy sessions. As a hypnotherapist, I do not diagnose or treat. My training and clinical work included hypnosis, self-hypnosis, hypnotherapy and the school’s proprietary Mind Management protocols. My training at the Certified Hypnotherapy Training School taught not only the theory of Hypnosis, but also “the hands on, get it figured out from the inside out” kind of training called clinical hypnotherapy. As founder of the school, W. Dennis Parker, CHT, has been an incredible mentor, sharing his 25 + years of learning. He has taught me powerful mind management techniques and the importance of teaching my clients how to use these skills every day.  I am trained to assess your situation, assist you toward self discovery and help give you a skill set that will allow you to personally move beyond what is holding you back. You get the life you desire and deserve by using those new beliefs and thoughts.

I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, the youngest of 4 children.  I have lived most of my adult life in Guam and Utah, returning to the Pacific Northwest in 2010.

My husband is very supportive. We are currently empty-nesters, and hope that continues, although we love our blended family of 9 children and 6 grandchildren. We live in Lake Oswego, so if you drive or live in the Lake Forest neighborhood, you may see us walking Max, our border collie.

My goal with Centerpointe Hypnotherapy is to create a safe, trusting environment where my clients can learn positive mind management techniques and self-hypnosis becoming self-empowered as they continue to maintain ‘single-mindedness’ and conscious correct thinking.

I want my clients to be able to:

•Feel peace in their lives

•Have healthy relationships

•Make good conscious decisions

•Achieve personal success in their lives

•Maintain healthy positive beliefs & behaviors
